Dear Bird Buddies,

We want to wish you all a very happy new year and the best for 2012. This next year we hope to make the club a more fun filled, educational club. Our Board of Directors will be meeting in the upcoming months to revise our out-dated bylaws.
We have some exciting meetings coming up with Birdie Olympics, Birdie Bingo, an outing to Larry Battson’s, round table discussion groups, members teaching us “bird teaching” tools, and a visit from Dianne Schaeffer with some of her wildlife. There are three bird fairs planned again this year. We hope to increase our number and variety of vendors.
The club is adding a new marketing committee to address issues from getting the word out to the community to obtaining donations to the club for raffles both at the meetings and fairs.
If you have any ideas for programs or other activities, please bring something in writing to one of us to present at an upcoming club or board meeting. We welcome any new suggestions and your commitment to volunteer to assist in implementing them.
Carolyn Carney is in the hospital at Select Specialty in Beech Grove, Room 106. She would love to have visitors as she will likely be there for 4 weeks.
